Conceptual design for the new training and innovation center in the historical neighborhood of San Miguel at south Leon. The plot with two access (Juarez park and Carranza Blvd.) generates two flows and separates the uses. The training center with workshops at ground floor and classrooms and the main auditorium at second floor access from Juarez park. The innovation building is placed with access from Carranza Blvd. and has four stories with modular and flexible space. A central courtyard with vegetation generates the views and gives shadow and rest areas.
Conceptual design for the reuse of an abandon warehouse in front of the Juarez public park at San Miguel historic neighborhood located south of Leon. The proposal renovates the main facade and leaves the old metallic structure. A new open and translucid glass facade invites the citizen to enter. Metallic mezanine structures are placed at both sides of the warehouse making modular and flexible spaces for the constant changing goverment needs. A central courtyard has trees and vegetation so all the staff and visitors could see it from any point. The staff and visitors cafeterias are located at first floor with views of Juarez park.
Conceptual design for the renovation of the public market of the historic neighborhood of San Miguel at the south of Leon. The proposal contemplates the demolition of the actual food area and the renovation of the rest of the structure. The new structure will be a light and open doble height space were the new food isles will be placed at ground floor or in the mezanine area. Big balconies will enjoy views of the main plaza and the church of San Miguel Arcángel. In the second floor two restaurants will have the best views from an open multi purpose terrace. Metallic structure combined with wooden aluminium mullions and brick latticework which dialogues with the old market building will make this new market not only a local reference but a new touristic and gastronomical point.
Conceptual design for a new commercial and housing building in front of Juárez public park in the historic neighborhood of San Miguel at the south of Leon. The plot of 510 sqm has an undergound parking level, two commercial spaces at ground floor, together with the lobby, garden and multi purpose room and four floors of apartments with one and two bedrooms. An inner courtyard ties together both volumes were the vertical circulations are placed. The roofgarden has the best views over the park and the main west facade blocks the solar heat with deep balconies and movile metallic latticework panels.
Industrial park "Parque SUR". Integral management of the complete process, from the change of land use until the selling permission for a new industrial park of 300has. This new park is located at the south of the city of León, very close to the UNAM Campus. It will have two stages and two main access: one through the Ramirez community and the other through the new UNAM Boulevard. The work was done in aprox. 18 months with many meetings with all local and state dependencies. This new industrial park will be another working and developing engine not only for Leon but all the metropolitan area and region.More
Architectural design, executive design and construction of a new restaurant at the north of Leon. The plot of 500 sqm is split in two equal parts were the building is placed to the north and the parking and pedestrian access to the south. The program is solved at ground floor leaving the reception and terrace areas at the front and the internal table area, bathrooms and kitchen at the back. A perimetral service corridor gives space to natural ventilation and employee access. The steel structure increases from 3.50mts to 4.50mts in the terrace area giving more space and presence to the main facade.
Architectural design for a new Open Air Theatre inside the most important cultural complex of the city of Leon, the FCG (Forum Cultural Guanajuato). The plot of aprox. 3,500 sqm is located between the History Museum and the main Theatre (Teatro Bicentenario) alongside a green area known as the jacaranda sculpture garden. The design generates two levels of stands for a total of 3,800 people wrapped by two circular ramps holded by several concrete slabs which creates a latticework allowing transparency and dialogue with the Art Museum and the main Theatre nearby. The main stage is located at the northeast side close to the street making easy the access to all the required spaces. The design can be built in two or three stages according the available resources.
Executive project for a new Multipurpose Hall inside the ECOFORUM (Exhibition Center and City Fair of Celaya) grounds. This new space of 4,000 m2 is located at the heart of the fairgrounds between the two main exhibition halls. Two main access and eight emergency exits were designed throughout a double acustic walls. (Special acustic consultancy by QUORUM Acustics). In the same way, the false ceiling at 10mts height is proposed with a fractal geometry which helps acustic and contrast with the curve and plain lateral walls.
Executive project for the new Main Hall of the ECOFORUM (Exhibition and Congress Center) located in the city of Celaya, Guanajuato. This 1,800 sqm space will be the access point to the different Exhibition Rooms as well the entrace to the Multipurpose Concert Hall. The design aim for neutral colors and continuity of the facade framework into the false ceiling. A central volume divide the two main access of the Multipurpose Hall and contains the wardobe, ticket office and the light and sound control booth in second floor. Natural light and ventilation enters form the lateral and main facades.
Executive project for a mixed use building located at the southeast of Guanajuato. Because of the poor resistance of the ground the building will have concrete pilots and metallic structure. Thanks to a federal water restriction the building move 10mts from the main street, this create a public plaza and the access to the commercial spaces and the coworking reception. Above the commercial area three floors for the coworking spaces were designed. A private terrace enjoys the views at the top. The public parking vehicle is located at the back with 400 car spaces in seven stepped floors. The main facade is covered by metallic louvers which block the west solar heat and opened towards the north. The rest of the facades have perforated metal which allows natural ventilation and match with the main facade.
Architectural design for a housing tower located at the north of León in a plot of 650m2. The design creates two main volumes were the apartments of different configurations are placed, both of them are tied together with an elliptical open hall were the vertical circulations connect with all the floors. The proposal also has two vehicle underground floors, a multi purpose garden at ground floor and a big roof garden with vegetation and terraces for events and enjoy the views.
Architectural design for 16 two story houses and common areas located at the modern 20th century neighboourhood called Arbide in Leon. The proposal takes advantage of the two roads to give direct access to each house and place the common areas at the center of the plot (green areas, playgrounds and a multipurpose room). Two prototype of houses were designed: a 130m2 two story and three bedroom house, and a 140m2 three story with 3 bedroom and a studio at the top floor. All the houses have great views of the interior garden with terreces, balconies and roofgardens. Because of the plot slope each house is stepped to adapt the existing topography.
Master Plan for the ECOFORUM, the actual fair Exhibition Center of Celaya, Guanajuato. Coordinated by IMIPE, the City Planning Institute, this new Master Plan looks for the complete renovation of the fairgrounds of aprox. 17has. The design creates a new access from the south through the new parking area, that connects to the new bridge, into a new public space and the main hall. The new Multi-purpose Hall, under construction now, is supported by three new service modules. The exhibition halls are completely renovated with a reserved area for future expansion. A new hotel for 180 rooms with the new tower complete the proposal. The tower has 14 floors, the new business center takes the first nine floors, the administration offices the next three floors and the last two are for a restaurant with terrace with views over the city. A new awning structure is also proposed to cover the actual open air theatre for more than 7,000 people.
Architectural design for a private house located at the north of the city of Leon. The proyect aims to create a flexible and contemporary space which attends the diverse orientations and take advantage of the total area (600m2). In this way the garage and service area are located at the basement, the social areas and gest room at ground floor, around a central yard, and the four bedrooms at first floor. All the spaces have views to the garden and the patio and have natural ventilation and illumination. The main facade protects the south with a long and large balcony. Clear and white colors are mixed with the wooden walls and floors which provide warmth to the spaces.

The design distinguish three diferent spaces, the first one for children, the second one for exercise and the third for rest. Architectural design for three prototypes of cabins located in a future real state housing development. Each prototype is solved according to the increasing program. The first one is a loft style cabin, in 1 or 2 bedrooms, the second one is a two volume cabin which separates the social area from the bedrooms. All of them try to minimized the impact on the ground and look towards the better views. Wood, steel and local stone are proposed as base materials, as well as solar panels and rain water reuse system.More
New building for the NGO "VIBRA", located at the east of the city of León. The building combines a flexible and modular hall with administrative spaces. The design looks to create a "single volume" which includes all the uses. The main hall for 210 people can be divided into a 6 small spaces for 35 people. The cafeteria, restrooms and check in area are located at ground floor, the offices at first floor with independent access. All the spaces have natural ventilation. The mulipurpose hall also have 3 skylights to decrease the use of artificial lighting.More
Renewal of the main hall of SAPAL (city water system) customer attention offices located at Blvd. Torres Landa, south of Leon. The proposal opens the actual space by removing the false ceiling and placing translucid panels in the structure. The new false ceiling is donde by blue ribbons which look like waves filtering the light. The rest of the surrounding spaces in ground and first floor are repainted in white, giving more spaciousness and clarity to the hall.More
Duplex house located in the city of Passo Fundo, south Brazil. The design generates a frontal open patio throughout you can access both houses. Because of the plot proportions (10x40m) the social and private areas are separeted and solved alongside each other. All the spaces enjoy natural ventilation and illumination. The ground floor house has access to the back garden and the first floor house enjoy the view from the terrace. The main facade mix permeability and security. The proposal contemplates the growing of the main facade towards the street, giving more space for the public area and generating a new volume in concrete with a metallic lattice which can be closed at night for security. Architectural design for a new warehouse of 25,000sqm for a cardboard company called Cartomicro located at the industrial city south Leon. Rigid frame metallic structures resolve the main space, were production, storage and delivery are done. A main truck circuit allows access from three sides of the warehouse leaving the vehicle parking area close to the office building at the east. This long volume for administrative spaces resolve all the program at ground floor leaving in the first floor a big terrace with the dining staff hall. A metallic latticework protects the east sunshine and resemble the internal corrugate of the cardboard.More

Urban and landscape design for a small street of 200m long in the east side of León. The design creates two wide sidewalks and tries to save every single tree (mesquites most of them). The benches, bin baskets and lights are made in galvanized steel and concrete. The sidewalk pavements are coloured prefab concrete blocks and the vehicle pavement is done with rusted concrete in sand color to match with the sidewalks.More
Preliminary design for a community center near the village of San Juan de los Cedros, Mazapil, Zacatecas. The design follows the natural slope of the plot creating three platforms. The first contains the closed areas such as the administration, dressrooms and bathrooms, work spaces and storage. The second platform has two multipurpose courts, one of them with a sawtooth roof which covers also the access plaza. The third one contains the parking area.More
Multipurpose hall for two separate rooms of 450 sqm or one large room of 900 sqm. Located inside de new urban park in the old Celaya Fair grounds, the design searchs to generate a contained building open to the surroundings. A doble wall of glass and lattice brick infiltrate the light and the views. The roof bends and opens two north skylights which will allow daylight for the two halls. A more closed brick volume to the south contains the industrial kitchen and warehouses.More

As part of the rehabilitation of the old fair grounds of Celaya into a new urban park, this space is conceived as an open, covered, flexible and modular space for multi-purpose events. The main steel structure has 24x24 mts with 6x4mts submodules. Plastic wood louvers are placed widely in the south and west facade to protect from solar radiation. An asymetric false ceiling is also done with the same louvers to create a continuous space open to the surrounding park.More

A solid brick prism contains the service and kitchen areas. The steel cover is supported by thin columns and protects the terrace and table areas.More

This 1st stage contemplates the cleaning and conformation of the streams and the construcción of the pedestrian and cycle paths on both sides. This new complex for environmental teaching and investigation is located in a plot of 1ha of the 37has of the total natural area called "Cañada Arroyo Hondo", at the southwest of the city of León. The different buildings are placed alongside from the pedestrian cover walkway which also connect both of the access plazas. A 3,200 meter long network of pedestrian and cycle trails will be rehabilitated as well as the endemic vegetation. Outside the Center there will be also a Botanical Garden, two sightseen towers and two viewpoints of the Arroyo Hondo rift.More

Architectural design and executive project for this new Hospital in the community of Cedros nearby the Goldcorp Peñasquito mine. This new hospital will provide service not only for Cedros population but also for the more than 30 towns inside a 50km radious. The Hospital will have in-Patient Admitting and Diagnostic Center, Laboratory, Emergency Center, Surgery and Intensive Care Unit for newborns, children and adults, as well as suport areas for all the staff. The design takes white and concrete as main color and material, marks well both entrances with shade roofs and propouse desertic vegetation of the area for the external gardens and patios.More
This manual for the new urban design of this traditional neighbourhood of the city was coordinated by IMPLAN, the City Planning Institute. After a social, urban and environmental diagnosis of an area of 50has. (500,000sqm) several proposals were done. The main urban line is to give more space for the pedestrian; widening the actual sidewalks and planting new trees were the section allows them. The second line is to incorpore cyclepaths and strengthen public transport. The third one is to improve and create new public space. For the private development, the regeneration has to be done with more density and mix use buildings, were commercial areas remain at ground floor and the new housing and office spaces in the upper levels. Finally for the new urban furniture and signal project, low cost materials were proposed with traditional designs.More

The main aim was to create an isolated atmosphere in which the personnel can relax and enjoy their meals. A doble height space with a sawtooth roof and mullions to protect west solar radiation acomodates the table area and integrates this area with the open terrace, both of them with views to the garden. At the upper level a multipurpose room is placed with a small terrace wich can enjoy the garden views as well.More

The proposal is create a new ciclyng, running and pedestrian track as well as rest areas with concrete benches and new trees. The aim of our proposal was to create a "city into the city" where the buildings, as independent pieces, surround you into a green and a great new space. A new public park with the Community Center in the underground, new multi-purpose Atrium with access to the Funeral Chapels one level below and the main building of the new Cathedral, looking to the west and inspired in the ancient and traditional elements of the Catholic Church define this new urban centrality.More
Architectural design for a new justice center in the city of Hermosillo, Sonora. The center has five main buildings: Courthouse, Detainee building, Legal counsel, Cautionary building and Evidence warehouse. With the support of the specialist Arq. Diego Balderas and the collaboration of Arq. Juan Bonilla, we accomplished a compact, functional and efficient building which also attend the several safety, energetic and environmental regulations. The core of the complex is a main waiting and distribution hall which also has the cafeteria and a daycare center. The center always looks for solar control elements because of the high temperatures of this city. The main facade is inspired in the great courthouses of the past which use the colonnade. The rest of the facades have metallic louvers for solar control and visual unity.More
Design of a single prototype which could serve as base for the executive projects and construction of oral courthouses in all Mexico. The proposal resolve the different circulations throughout two main access to the double height vestibule and has a secondary access for the detained. From the main hall, were all the service areas are placed, you can access a secondary waiting hall from which you can enter to the courtrooms. This arrangement gives flexibility and modular growth to the building. The exterior image is done in concrete which gives strenght and low cost maintenance. Solar panels and green roofs are also proposed to reduce solar transmission.More
Villagrán is located inside de industrial corridor of the region known as Bajío, between the cities of Celaya and Salamanca. This location and his flat and fertile land makes it excelent for keeping the agricultural intensive use as well as the new industrial parks, specially the automotive cluster. This Urban Master Plan designs and establish the future urban land and their uses with a projection of growth until 2040. This program is part of a big effort of the Planning State Agency IPLANEG, to create and renew the Urban Plans of the 46 municipalities of the hole State of Guanajuato.More

As part of the Poliforum Urban Image Master Plan designed by this office couple years ago, this new access is located at the end of Vasco de Quiroga Boulevard and will allow a direct connection between the Cultural Forum and Explora Park. The new access is conceived as a green metallic transition pergola that will provide shade and confort to the people entering or exiting the park. A regular brick frame is placed at the facade in order to follow the rest of the image of the park. Dynamic concrete floor lines, garden boxes and benches complete and demarcate the internal space.More
The renewal of this parking area is due to the construction of the new technology building, which separetes this area from the rest of the parking area. The project creates a new plaza linked to the main promenade and 20 new covered parking spaces by light metallic structures. The control room and store building are also renovated with plastic wood lames and metallic perforated panels. New urban furniture and light totems are proposed as well as a new sculpture at the center of the plaza.More
By order of the Leon´s Planning Institute IMPLAN this new manual for land use was developed for this dynamic corridor of the city which goes from the Congress Center Poliforum to the Central Plaza of León. A social, urban and environmental study was done in order to have an actual diagnosis of the area which leed to the final urban policies for land use and building restrictions. The final result pursued is to have an armonic cohabitation of the residents of the area and the new commercial and service uses. The control in design over historical buildings was also established. New proposal over urban furniture and vegetation was donde as well to improve the image of the corridor.More
As part of the support to the mothers of the children who attend this elementary and primary school, this building was designed to give practical workshops and seminars so they can start up a small business to support their families. This new space take advantage of some of the spaces the school already has, and for this reason it only has 8 classrooms and 2 workshop spaces (needlework and cooking). Four classrooms will be built in a first stage and the other four in a second storey in a year or two. The buildind also has an administrative and reception area as well as a covered multipurpose patio.More
This new Community Hospital is soon to be built at the west side of Comonfort City, just by the highway, in the section going from Celaya to San Miguel de Allende. The overall land plot is 30,000 m2, but the third part will be kept aside as a reservoir for future expansion or the construction of complimentary facilities. The developed area is about 20,000m2 and the building itself is 3,500m2, entirely distributed in a single floor. The interiors are strategically divided into 5 independent areas: Administration, In-Patient Admitting and Diagnostic Center, Laboratory, Emergency Center, Surgery and Intensive Care Unit. Further outer areas provide support for the previous mentioned ones, such as the covered ambulance bay, staff and visitor’s car park, and a parking and truck maneuvering area next to the mechanical room. There is also a low maintenance green area within the complex, based on desert species, pebbles and colored sand. This project is one of many other hospitals and Medical Units to be built in this administration that will certainly reinforce the state network of health service.More
The general scheme takes advantage of the plot slope to create a partial underground and two superior levels. The house respects the construction restrictions limits of the area and leaves space to three of the four boundaries. The ground floor tries to create a unique and fluid space integrated the internal and external social areas. A private room is also placed at ground floor looking toward the terrace, garden and pool. The upper level has two more bedrooms and a social area. The stair surrounds the double height living room in a dynamic form and also looks to the garden. The main façade creates a stepped view with open and closed volumes, on the other hand, the rear façade has mullions and a pergola to control the west sun which is really hard in this latitude.More
The design for this new urban space takes the Santa Cruz Temple as the source and focal point of the plaza, from which a new topography fits the plot and highlight the main view, which is the confluence of the two streets. From this point, the main pedestrian access is located and several floor lines converge with the Temple columns. A green slope with new vegetation separates the plaza from the street and accommodates the urban furniture. The playground area is located at the end of the plaza. A linear garden box divides the Temple from the Plaza and guards the night reflectors. During the construction process, three more plots were acquire at the rear end, which lead to propose a new access from this point, integrated with the rest of the design.More

Apart from bringing the attention and technical support to the people this center will provide efficency for the maintenance and operation of the water city system. The new design incorporates the OFS (State Control Department) and propose a new arragement for the Congress areas. This new urban space of 6,000m2 will improve the area with new sport and recreational spaces. It will be done in 4 stages starting in 2014, the project includes football and basket-volley courts, a playground, open gym, pic-nic areas, community gardens, bathrooms, security office and a running path which goes all arround the park.More

Urban study for the improvement of this suburban poor area located at the west of the city. Finished in January 2014, the study was based on a social, urban and environmental analisys, which generate a Master Plan as well as 8 strategic projects (most of them public space and buildings), for the improvement of the area and the quality of life of the community.
