Landscape design
Location: Comunidades rurales, Guanajuato.
Year: 2013
The landscape proposal aims to create low or non-maintenance gardens that may be used for several activities within or just for contemplation. There are used three groundcover materials: volcanic rock, white gravel and black gravel, together with xerophytic greenery in symmetric designs. Lantana and verbesina bushes give a touch of color to walls and borders where arboreal species are preserved or introduced such as ash and willow trees. A bench prototype, made out of an in situ concrete module, generates multi-position options according to its placing area. Offset concrete steppers are randomly arranged, in order to break up monotony and work as a walkway for easily reaching the benches. Outdoor lightning and steel litter bins complement the furnishing.
