Architectural and landscape design
Location: Comonfort, Guanajuato.
Year: 2015
This new Community Hospital is soon to be built at the west side of Comonfort City, just by the highway, in the section going from Celaya to San Miguel de Allende. The overall land plot is 30,000 m2, but the third part will be kept aside as a reservoir for future expansion or the construction of complimentary facilities. The developed area is about 20,000m2 and the building itself is 3,500m2, entirely distributed in a single floor. The interiors are strategically divided into 5 independent areas: Administration, In-Patient Admitting and Diagnostic Center, Laboratory, Emergency Center, Surgery and Intensive Care Unit. Further outer areas provide support for the previous mentioned ones, such as the covered ambulance bay, staff and visitor’s car park, and a parking and truck maneuvering area next to the mechanical room. There is also a low maintenance green area within the complex, based on desert species, pebbles and colored sand. This project is one of many other hospitals and Medical Units to be built in this administration that will certainly reinforce the state network of health service.
